My overall experience has been overwhelming positive. The work-life balance is excellent. I have met co-workers who have become dear friends and mentors. My only constructive feedback is around salaries. They are not competitive and I feel we will continue to lose talent if we do not address.

The leadership team seems to genuinely want HealthStream employees to be happy. They are transparent and ask for our input whenever they can.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is supportive, fun-loving, and thoughtful. They are the most hard-working and kind people that I've ever worked with. They perfectly maintain the balance between professional and fun.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people that I work with our extremely supportive and push me to take on new challenges. You can ask anyone for help and they will help you, no strings attached.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am never bored. HealthStream values productivity and making a positive difference over warming a seat. Leadership challenges you to set goals to not only thrive at work, but in your personal life.
What did you like most about the interview process?
While I had to interview with about five different people, it gave me the opportunity to meet people who worked in my department, so I felt like I had work friends before I even started my first day.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I was happy with my initial compensation, but it is so difficult to get a significant pay increase, even if you get a title promotion. Executives joke that HealthStream will be your best first and third job. Our CEO has mentioned wanting to address this issue before - I hope he does!
