What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm grateful to have health benefits but the out of pockets costs (deductibles, co-insurance) for regular appointments are outrageous.

The Pay is very fair, the benefits are comparable and better than most from what I can assume in my experience. They also provide a nice amount of compensation for things like Wellness and internet.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I would love to see a pay range for my job title. I have been asking for this for years but I still do not have it. This would make me feel more comfortable if I am being paid fairly.

HealthStream has a history of under paying employees believing that the culture will make up for what the salaries lack. HealthStream needs to improve the benefits offered such as the 401K matching, contribute a higher percentage of the healthcare premiums, and offer more PTO.

We practice "teamwork makes the dream work" every day, there's no room or time on our team for hostility or petty rivalry. If I need help I know I can ask anyone without being judged for not knowing the solution.

The support provided by my previous co-workers and co-workers in my new team reflect how supportive Healthstreamers are to each other.

Friendliness. A lack of cut-throat atmosphere that exists in many corporate environments. HealthStream still has a bit of the late 90s startup feel left in its bones, but is still a very productive environment. There's a generous southern charm. I've described the atmosphere as sweet more than once!

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
My position required more privacy, which is at a minimum in the new building. The new building is lovely, but a good amount of time is spent on finding meeting rooms to talk confidentially.

Meeting my director and other team members and learning about the job.

We use a peer interview process so you can get a feel of those that are actually doing the job in addition to the leaders over them. Input from the team is very informative to the interviewee.
