Leadership in efficient lean manufacturing seems to be lacking. Poor decisions have increased operating cost and reduced output. Backorder is out of control. Since of urgency in getting product out the door is lacking. Shifting priorities and direction changes is like trying to hit a moving target.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Slow to implement ideas, projects, improvements. Too much bureaucracy and red tape. Too much micromanagement by parent company and executive management at HA. Need more freedom and lower-level managers need to be able to approve purchases for less than $5,000 to keep things moving quicker.
