The last 3 months working at Smartsheet have been a whirlwind! That said, it's been a fun, educational, and exciting experience. I look forward to many years at the organization; I believe Smartsheet exemplifies what other organizations should strive for in terms of employee experience.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
This is the best job I've ever had. I'm also excited and appreciative of the CSM levels we have. I know I can go from II to III and even IV later on, and I can stay as an IC or move to manager if that is the right fit. It's a great way to keep people motivated!
What makes you most happy at work?
Helping clients understand the value and impact of the products our company provides.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership seems open and transparent; numerous leaders have also encouraged employees to take time off, enjoy the holidays, etc.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My current team at Smartsheet is definitely the best team/group of people I've worked with, ever. I truly enjoy them as people and coworkers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I love having quarterly bonuses. It makes my work more exciting! It's a fun challenge to various MBOs in CS every quarter and keeps things fresh!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Smartsheet is fun yet respectful. The company does not force participation in events but provides opportunities for everyone to participate if desired. They also invest in employees' growth via certifications and career path mapping with managers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Other than the generous health benefits (with no cost to employees), I love that we get stock awards AND are able to buy stock in the company at a discount. These benefits make me feel more invested in the company.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love it when I am able to delight customers or solve an issue they perceive as significant. Overcoming obstacles and retaining customers while helping them reach their own business goals is also challenging and rewarding. In short, it's super fun!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate the executive team's availability, transparency, and humanity. As an IC, I've felt unseen and irrelevant at other organizations but not at Smartsheet. I had a competitive job offer recently from another organization but chose to stay at Smartsheet because this company is amazing!
What are some of the best things about your team?
I don't know HOW our recruiting team does this, but every single person on the Brandfolder CS team is outstanding! Always willing to help and answer my questions, cover me if I am OOO, and extremely intelligent! We have a hard job as we are spread thin, but they make it work!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Smartsheet recognizes people are individuals, and that their strengths vary. Employees are not penalized or punished if they make a mistake or are not perfect at something. Managers help us grow & encourage upward mobility. Most of all, TRUST is there! I'm trusted to do the job they hired me to do.
