I like coming to work each day, but feel the days are too long. This is due to lack of support, as some depts are under-staffed or staffed with the wrong people. There should be more effort to retain/reward people w/seniority. I feel if they quit and get re-hired they'd get paid more fairly.
There is a lot of change happening right now, which is necessary, and I feel I can adapt, but there are also a lot of new faces that do not understand our type of work and may unknowingly make decisions without knowing the implications. There are not enough people to train these new faces.
There are a lot of new people that don't yet understand our different types of work (FAA Repair Station, FAA-PMA, AS9100, etc...) so they just focus on "this is what we did at the last place I worked" or what they have "read in a book". Those with the real experience are being overlooked.
Value of Teamwork is very important to me.
The recognition and respect from management.
The overall sense of family.
Sense of family, and most are willing to help.
I like that we still treat each other like family.
Sense of accomplishment when I seeing others grow and learn.
They take the time to understand the "why" behind things before making changes.
Recognition for hard work, accomplishing a task that will improve our work processes.
They take the time to train a they answer your questions, and make you feel like family.
Everyone is looking forward to getting us on track, out of the paper system to a more digital system.
I don't feel like my seniority and length of time at the company was taken into account in the recent wage evaluation/analysis.
Most of the team that has been here several years truly care about their job, the company and the quality of their work.
Seeing others succeed and thrive, especially on tasks i have put i place to make things run smoother and provide more visibility to the management team.
They treat everyone like family, you get the sense that they actually care about you not just as an employee, but as a person outside of work as well.
Keeping those employees who have been here a long time up to current wage standards. Someone like this could quit and get re-hired and make more than they do now.
Having been hired prior to the company's acquisition by AEVEX, I feel my pay is not where it should be compared to new hires that are not as valuable and experienced but start at a higher rate just because they came in under AEVEX.
I enjoy the problem solving that comes with the variety of work we do, i love showing others how our systems/processes flow, as long as they retain what they learn, not just expect you to be the "easy button" to show them step-by-step again next time.
I feel undervalued. When I look at my experience with the company (incl prior to AEVEX) and the years I have put in, and then look at what salary ranges are posted on open jobs, I feel I should quit and get re-hired in order to get my deserved salary.
I feel undervalued because people who have been here for a shorter period of time are making more, and those new people are always getting supported by those who have the knowledge & experience. Experienced people who value teamwork are making the new people look good and don't get any credit.
Those that truly care about the work we do and the people we work with every day are a pleasure to be around and support through teamwork, but there are some that are clearly out for themselves, always making sure they are the ones looking good to get exec mgmt attention and all the credit.
