I'm working on a crazy program that is struggling to get it right and stay on top of work at the same time. Everyone is overworked and every decision is made at the last minute. Because of this, I often have no control over my schedule. My pay is fixed, so I feel taken advantage of.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Most of the time everyone is flexible
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone works hard and is dedicated to solving problems to get the job done on time.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are pretty supportive of the decisions we make, and allow us to make our own decisions for the most part
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I work whenever they ask me to, sometimes to the tune of 16 hour days, and most of the time more than 8 hour days. I am a salaried employee so I see the same rate regardless.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I feel like I'm underpaid for the amount of work I do and the weight of responsibility I have to make this contract successful. I am asked to do many things beyond what my role is--which I don't mind as long as my role is defined. My role has been redefined a few times and it's been confusing
