A sense of shared responsibility.
I love the feeling that I am trusted, and making a real difference.
I am satisfied with it. It is not competitive with lifestyle companies, but is still fine.
The bonus incentives for Aimbridge are very strong and frankly - the key differential between other management companies.
I think that the above-property deployments, for finance, HR, VP, Sales, have hit a sweet spot, where we are supported but autonomous enough to be successful.
My direct leadership is engaged, but very trusting. I receive her full attention when I'm with her, and am aware that her absence reflects her trust in my ability to make strong decisions.
My team is very comfortable together. There is no power dynamic at play, and it feels like a safe space where everyone is respectful and yet tries to have a good time. I really enjoy the dynamic.
The tasks themselves are still compelling. I am in a position to lead culture, so despite the fact that there are issues in Aimbridge's culture, at this property I feel I have the ability to make it healthy, productive and strong.
I am fortunate to have a very strong, dedicated, and knowledgeable VP. However, the constant redeployments above property and some of the "streamlining" has left us with less support, a lack of stability and a lot of frustration. The company's goals are clear, but its culture is deteriorating.
