I genuinely enjoy working for Aimbridge Hospitality; however, I feel that I have been overlooked for promotional opportunities within the company. Despite exceeding budget expectations last year and consistently meeting budget goals each month, my efforts have not been acknowledged.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
There have been recurring instances of favoritism within the workplace, which is negatively impacting employee morale and contributing to higher turnover rates. If this issue is not addressed, I anticipate that turnover will remain a persistent challenge moving forward.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

What makes you most happy at work?
True collaboration, rather than working in opposition, is essential for fostering a cohesive team dynamic. Effective teamwork is critical to the hotel's overall success, and we can only achieve our goals if we support one another, rather than adopting an individualistic approach
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe that my current compensation does not align with my qualifications, or the level of responsibility expected of me. If the annual review process were to be conducted in a timely manner with my General Manager, I would feel more optimistic about the potential for a salary adjustment.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team in the corporate offices are fantastic. However, I wish Aimbridge streamlined the benefits they offer to all of their hotels and make it a non-negotiable for any new owners who won't to work with Aimbridge if they want to retain top talent. Otherwise, you risk them leaving.
