We have had so much turnover. I had time off requested for Thanksgiving it was rejected. I asked if I could have time off for Christmas and was allowed one day. My department made a decision that left one person. I am paying for it. Also seems that we get no benefits compared to other departments.

My salary would be fine if we had a bonus program or a stock program. Not having bonus/stock comp makes us much less competitive.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Encourage and empower employees in Accounting to be in charge of their jobs instead of telling them everything they are doing wrong, micro-managing every detail and following us to every meeting. Stop documenting, writing up & firing people that don't deserve it because they weren't properly trained
