What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?Sometimes it feels more like an education or being in college than being at a job. The learning opportunities even for someone who has been in my field for 25 years are still there. So in addition to my vast expertise and how I contribute I feel I am still able to learn at Cornerstone.
What do you like best about the leadership team?They are transparent when they can be and clear with our goals. They also really care about employees and encourage flexibility, especially during this COVID pandemic.
What are some of the best things about your team?Openness and collaborative efforts are encouraged. Help given and taken is well received. Direct management is supportive and flexible with each person. Management also takes into account each person's strengths and weaknesses.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?Engineers care about their turf and little else. Grow empathy, help your colleagues. Mentor others, don't shun them. Use existing techniques and technologies, don't reinvent everything. Work faster, plan better.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?We believe in pay-for-performance, but it is heavily weighted to the value of the company and not individual performance. All the way through the org a significant part of our comp is in equity, and many of us have outperformed the company's stock this year.
