Klaviyo Announces Launch of Initial Public Offering
The company has experienced hyper growth in 2021. There is little organizational structure to support this. Meetings are endless, priorities are constantly changing, and colleagues are stressed about the workload.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
The workload at Klaivyo is increasingly growing - with many of my peers working on weekends, late hours, or while on PTO.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
More proactive communication is needed. Strategy and priorities feel very disjointed. It's difficult to keep up and the company targets are constantly shifting.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Determining compensation relative to my peers is opaque. I don't have a way to know if I am being paid fairly relative to my peers and industry.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Clear roles & responsibilities are required for each level. Projects and assignments are taken just on a 'who has any bandwith to tackle this?' basis. It makes for a very stressful environment as you never feel like there is enough time to achieve your job.
