What are some of the best things about your team?

Smart people with a collaborative spirit. Less competitive and political than expected.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

People love working on software in Bellingham while being treated like adults.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership in Development is trusting of their employees, providing us with plenty of autonomy.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Nothing is wrong, I guess I've never had a job I was excited to go to in the mornings. Usually I'd rather stay in bed and read.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Unlimited vacation and a generally flexible schedule in most departments (sorry Sales and Customer Service) is incredible. For some people it's difficult to navigate, but for most it's incredibly liberating.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

"Enough salary to keep you" has historically been the guiding principle. That pragmatism leaves many dev and design employees well under the 50th percentile of compensation for their role across similar companies, adjusted for local COL.
