Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Medela has had many leadership changes in the past five years which have created shifts in employee focus and morale. I still agree with the mission of the company and hope to see improvements in employee engagement.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Medela offers the ability to use my current skills, grow my skillset and be a valuable contributor to the success of the orgnization.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is not balanced to the workload expected.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

I appreciate the open communications from our leadership team.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Medela's leadership team focuses on two-way communication with employees.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Medela's focus on core behaviors and recognition of employees who exemplify those behaviors.

What makes you most happy at work?

My greatest reward is when I am able to identify and resolve a challenge.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Our team runs like a well-oiled machine. We complement each other's skills and talents and fill the gaps for one another quite well.

What makes you most happy at work?

Working with a solid team, having the empowerment to make decisions to keep work moving forward and knowing that my manager supports those decisions.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership is good at staying aware of marketing trends and consumer needs. I like seeing the push to get products to market quicker.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The mission of our company and the unified desire to help one another and our customers keeps a positive focus on the day to day tasks.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

With the current job market, I feel Medela needs to focus on retaining human capital. Part of this would be reinstating bonuses to reward employees who are performing above the minimum expected.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My pay for my job title/description is below market value in this area. I also feel undervalued when new parents are given additional paid time off and older employees or those without children are not given anything additional - it does not feel like equality.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Our team is well acclimated to one another and we communicate well with each other. This provides a more productive environment. Our biggest challenge is being understaffed with more projects in the pipeline than we can possibly complete. We work well with our business partners as well.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Our team has retained excellent communication and collaboration throughout the entire Covid pandemic. We have been able to deliver many successful projects during this time for our customers - both internal and external. We are a very flexible team who can pivot to the needs of our customers.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive thing about the culture and environment is knowing that our products make a measurable impact on the lives of our customers. Internally, I have to say that morale has decreased in the past two years do to downsizing and devaluation of much needed roles within our organization.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

When Medela returns to the honor of valuing employees and providing more assurance of a career or longevity, I believe employees will feel more dedicated and put more effort into the daily work. At one time, you knew that doing a job well done would result in Medela retaining you - no longer true.
