My experience has been good overall, although I haven't agreed with everything the executive team has decided to do over my 4+ years here. There has been a lot of fantastic talent that has left shortly after the pandemic and a 7% cut that seemed to only be because of increasing profitability.

Great company going through several transformational step at once that is causing C-suite level folks to be way behind what's going on the ground. It's a wonderful place to work that is often bogged down in bureaucracy and the need to educate the higher ups on what we actually need to do.

This is the best company I have worked for on my lengthy IT journey. In the past there was a lot of emphasis put on social issues but this seems to have waned, which is good. It feels as if our focus has shifted, rightly so, to focus on building quality software and deliver value to our customers.

Recognizing industry standard compensation levels and adjusting ours accordingly. Specifically Software Engineers at nCino make roughly 20% less than their average industry counterpart.

Actually taking care of their employees like they think they do - pay market rates, be more transparent, listen to employee feedback, speed up turn around times by reviewing useless processes (specifically everything with HR)

Paying employees a competitive wage - CULTURE will come after that, as good people will stay. 7% layoffs yet 0 talk of shaving some stock amounts or salaries from Upper Exec, when they're probably the only ones in the company that are overpaid? Feels very hypocritical of upper management.

I like the HSA account provided for my family, and the amount of vacation we receive, and a culture that encourages taking that time off.

The PTO is much more generous than most.

It just seems like we lag behind what many other companies offer in terms of compensation. There are no bonuses nor stock RSU's given unless you are in a high position and performing highly. If I ask for a reasonable amount more, it has not been met.

Have been told by multiple managers that I am deserving of a promotion but that has never come to fruition. I feel like I am praised with words, but there is never any action behind it to make me feel valued here.

Overall, I like most of my coworkers. However a few of them are so bad that it taints the whole team. I need my coworkers to actually put effort into their jobs so that others don't have to pick up the slack. It is shocking to me that nCino has continued to let a lot of this incompetence continue.

Every 6 months we just completely shake everything up. There's always a new VP of something, a new priority, and teams. It's getting pretty old at this point. A market adjustment on salaries and hybrid work are the only thing people care about at this point.

I loved ncino and was proud to be a part of this company. But all of that changed when the layoffs happened. That pride is gone. If you had asked me to rate my happiness with the company the day before the layoffs, I'd have said 9/10. If you asked me today, it's probably a 3/10.
