Figuring out how to fix problems and come up with proactive solutions. Often the work is for big problems.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm paid less than I should for being in a technical role, and our compensation is extremely obtuse to navigate to the point where it seems like a black box that spits out random salaries.
