I feel stuck. No one really cares about me or my career goals. I see zero effort to develop skills and talent for current employees. The company only invests in hiring for a role or skill, not developing it internally. If an employee wants career growth, the only option is to go somewhere else.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have fun. Most are respectful.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
David is approachable and egoless. Very few other exes are.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
no meeting Fridays are a huge boost. We are soooo much better at working cross-functionally.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
a raise every year or so. Have not had one in several years. So I'm going backward instead of forward.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I work for a toxic manager and even though I love my company and my job, this person makes my work life miserable. People managers should be better trained and should understand HR basics.
