Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My compensation is not aligned with the market compensation data for similar roles, also there is not enough spread between my compensation and the compensation of my direct reports who have a much smaller scope of responsibility and level of experience and expertise.

"In a competitive market" - sorry, had to go there :) though really, there are many other companies with similar positions who exceed our base pay. I am here for personal growth, company culture and the people. So that alone has great value though if we are discussing rate of pay, close to call.

Crossfunctional communication and inter-department projects do not go well. No one is in charge, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. The ideas of the employees are not acted upon until they've been changed by management to something entirely different.

be accepting of all age groups. i'm the oldest on my team and when they plan events, it seems to be events suited to their age groups

There is a lot of over engineering of processes and excess meetings that prohibit timely decision making and action. Co-workers and Executive Leaders. Co-workers need more training on decision making and bias for action and to stop hiding behind collaboration because their decision making is weak.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

system issues that create customer issues. Poor interdepartmental communication results in frustrated customers. Issues taking too long to resolve and little or no explanation for those of us that are required to deal with the customers anger and frustration.

too many irate customers. Issues not being resolved in timely manner. Non customer facing roles do not provide adequate explanantion for issue or for any of the work that they process. When asked by customer why issue or work was done customer facing roles are left with no way to explain clearly.

getting more opportunities with other positions, it seems like other departments are only hiring and moving people up every 8mnths to a year. getting more agents so we are able to get more transfers. we will sit and wait for minutes for no agents to respond and then loose the consumer.
