It's been good but there's too much turn over. I expect a layoff every May so that we can improve our financials.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I've had a wonderful experience over the course of my time at Realtor. Good days are great and bad days are absolutely heartbreakingly bad - thankfully there's been more good days than bad. I hope the company grows and is able to show they value retaining talent because I'd love to be here for years
What makes you most happy at work?
There's always something new for me to do.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The ELT is too new to tell. My manager is outstanding and extremely supportive.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working with my manager and having the opportunity to grow, learn and create new and impactful experiences for our users.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company is pretty diverse and we have a lot of qualified and experienced people. I especially admire how many females there are in leadership positions.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They appear to try to provide people with the tools to succeed and their hearts are in the right place. It's clear they want to provide the best experience for consumers.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The trust and independence that we have. My manager allows me to explore and develop without micromanaging me and my time. I'm encouraged to try new things and fail in order to learn and keep moving forward.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Industry analysis shows my compensation around $25k less than comparable positions in my area. Other companies have stronger benefit packages for employees and their families including full coverage on health care, unlimited PTO and better retirement offerings.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My work has quarterly ebbs and flows, the work is always unique and forces creative solutions. There's a lot of encouragement to explore, learn and develop skills. My manager and I have built trust over the years and that allows us to do our best work while balancing personal life.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know other companies pay more - I've seen a lot of peers leave for better packages. Leadership stalls on answering questions directly to pay, inflation or COL adjustments. It's clear the decision has been made and that's to roll it into our yearly review. I expect very little and not enough.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team that has been established for years is amazing, extremely knowledgeable of tech and our industry. There are roles that I work with that suffer from constant turn over and that makes it difficult, once someone is ramped up they leave for a better comp package. It's a stepping stone for many
