Community with my coworkers and the work we do.
My interview process was slow and took a few months to complete.
SWCA needs to have more competitive wages compared to our competitors in the industry.
Open communication, mindset of learning and growing, understanding that people fail sometimes but we learn how to fail forward.
Our team values open communication, helping each other learn, supporting team growth and cross training, and are overall enjoyable to work with.
The leadership team is relatively easy to get a hold of and do a great job of checking in with employees throughout the year.
We've built a team of dedicated, science-forward people that are open to feedback, listen to each other's concerns, and have a mindset of working together toward common goals. We also really invest in helping each other grow.
I love the difference challenges in our work - there's always a puzzle to solve or problem to work through to support our clients and their projects. There's a lot of variety and every project brings an opportunity to learn something new.
SWCA has continuously shown that they care about the employees as well as the quality of work that we provide. You are not just a number here, and leadership has really invested and leaned into creating a culture of inclusion and engagement with all employees.
While the pay may not be as high as other companies, our health care benefits are amazing, schedules are flexible, good PTO/wellness/sick leave, and bonus opportunities. Leadership regularly evaluates compensation and role responsibilities throughout the year - not just once at the end of the year.
I love that our leadership team regularly sends the company updates and shares bits and pieces about their own lives. Leadership does a great job of 1) keeping the company informed, 2) showing that they care about their employees, and 3) connects with us to show that they're real people too.
