What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Listening to the needs of the Field HR Managers and not assume what the needs are.

Listen, care and try to fix the problem instead of ignoring them. When we complain about being exhausted, overworked and frustrated at the amount of turnover, the answer shouldn't just be hire more people. That makes us feel like numbers instead of people.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I love Unum. It's easy to to use and the turnaround is fantasic.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
All other human resource positions in every company in Southern California pay above 30.00 per hour to start. Geo is considerably less at 25.00. Making the health and welfare benefit the only reason to take the job. In order to have a salary to live on.

Talking from a mothers perspective, cost of living has gone up. I dont like the feelin of just getting by, If my company is thriving , that should refelct in my biweekly compensation.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My coworker could improve by being a little more understanding and not telling jokes that are not work appropriate.

The professionalism at my facility is poor. The employees believe that profanity in the presence of others is acceptable, when in fact it is not. Additionally, many of the administrative team members do not dress in business attire appropriate for the workplace.

No protection from disgruntled employees. Hotline can be used to harass and bully supervisors.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The coworker in my office tells jokes that are in appropriate and creates a not so comfortable work environment. We share an office and I have tried speaking with them about moving forward and working together, however, it just feels like a tense environment. They are not open to suggestions.

With gas prices increasing and the availability of work from home positions available - it would be very beneficial for our organization to go remote or adopt maybe even a hybrid schedule. Productivity would increase and moral would as well - less PTO days & even sick days would be taken as well.

The whole place is toxic. Managers don't care about people, employees don't care about work and it's a revolving door. Employees are treated worse than inmates.
