I enjoy working with my coworkers, however our direct C level manager is not the easiest individual to work for. He does not understand our workload, nor does he act interested in finding out how many hours or how hard it is to produce what is being asked for.

We have each others back and willing to assist when necessary. We are also friends.

In our department, we are friends and coworkers and try to make the negative work load as fun as possible
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The inflation in the county is high, but raises will not compensate for this. Also, with the number of hours I am required to work, my hourly rate is lower than some of the lower level employees. There is too much to do for the number of staff in the dept.
