so far my impression to the management is that they are inefficient, unclear, double - dealing and at best kind.

they seem to care about the welfare of their employees.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe that the employees deserve a much better hourly rate. furthermore, the hiring process should be more efficient than now. lastly, HR should be accountable for the compensation of the salary they tell at the beginning vs the actual amount.
