Those of us that have been there for a while always have each other’s back’s. But the newcomers you can’t trust, so it’s hard to say what’s good about the entire team.
It is toxic and has been for close to a year. And calls to company ethics just never seem to help. Managers need to learn that positive energy gets more work done correctly than constant threats.
I have worked here 6 years, I’m cross-trained, I am certified to do a job only 3 people can do at my store. But since the raise of our minimum wage I am being paid the same as a new hire.
We need positive reinforcement. Discipline has it’s place and time, but when nothing anyone does is never good enough and what is wrong is the ONLY focus…. Workers become drained and depressed. Then the company, associates and customers all suffer from the hostile environment.
Between micro managing and constantly threatening entire departments for the behavior of some, the atmosphere has gotten very hostile. And to constantly be told to do things against corporate policy is stressful. Do you turn them in and face retaliation? Or just keep dealing with it.
