Many people there have given up and simply come in and wander the store doing very little. There is no real consequences for them to not complete their work

They need to remember that their employees make money for them and should be treated with respect and valued. Remember your Adam Smith - happy employees are good workers

Walmart is currently divesting itself of floor workers in order to maximize profits. They offer a pittance of a raise to existing employees while in some cases doubling the workload
