it used to be an awesome place to work but the company has recently changed alot, they don't seem to care whether the chnges will work in every single store and when they don't work it ends up being the associates who suffer for it
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
almost everything, they treat the employees horribly and nothing happens when anyone complains about it. the corporate management is no better
What are some of the best things about your team?
some of the employees are really good and work hard but atleast 80% of anyone who works there does not want to be there and you can tell just by saying hello to them. everyone is miserable
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
for the amount of work that gets dumped onto us dept managers we do not get paid nearly enough. when 6 diff managers tell u to do 6 diff things at same time so they can sit in the office it is impossible to get anything done
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
have the dept managers who they will be working for be involved in the interview. if I'm the dept manager for the meat dept and the assistant manager for electronics hires someone for my dept they have no idea whats needed or whats involved in the job
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I used to love my job and looked forward to going to work everyday, then the management started changing, they stopped training associates the way they need to be or should be trained and when you are willing to show any effort they dump 10 times more work onto you to make u for everyone else
