Reduce focus on cross-functional politics and optics at the executive level. Increase emphasis on empowering teams responsible for delivery. Shift effort away from high-level strategy discussions toward enabling tangible execution and outcomes.
Too much focus on optics and alignment, with a more hierarchical model, added layers, and too many decision-makers. This slows decisions and reduces efficiency. Simplifying structure, clarifying ownership, and empowering teams would improve speed and execution.
We are running extremely leans, this means that individuals are now expected to go above and beyond as the norm with very little recognition for the additional efforts. Not everyone steps up to the plate though, so the additional effort not being recognised is even more frustrating
