LexisNexis Legal & Professional Engineering Department Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

They seem to be taking the right steps to keep the company competitive in the market

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

I would ask the transparency, and a better compensation to employees and fair rewards (salary , bonus and increases) better communication and visible information on promotions and career progression.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

Effective meetings and work arrangements

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

She leads by example ie she is very hard working, puts in extended hours, she has broad knowledge on the tech we use. She is thus easy to talk to with regards to tech concerns as she understands the topics and even on non-tech related matters she is understanding, supportive and open minded.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Their clear vision, and support for employees

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

More comprehensive understanding of all teams that should be engaged/involved in ideation discussions/phases and more strategic than reactive decisions in product visions for customer/consumers.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 5 days ago

When you hire four first-time VP executives, coach them to deliver against business KPIs, not optimize for optics. Mindsets from 1996 don’t scale well into 2026. Too much politics and posturing, not enough execution. BAU

salary and incentives, more leave days

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

Leadership needs to listen to teams before making major changes. The recent reorg was done without understanding on-the-ground reality, which has hurt morale and motivation. A more collaborative, informed approach would lead to better outcomes.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 11 days ago

Listening to feedback from employees that is not glowingly positive

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 12 days ago

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

Pay and Medical and 401K Benefits

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 5 days ago

Well-balanced set of offerings between salary, 401k contribution, health insurance and PTO

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

Parental leave amount and flexibility

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

The recognition. It is great to be awarded on merit when you put in the hours and perform at a high level. Sometimes the hard work you put in gets unnoticed at other companies/teams. It's always great to be noticed. The compensation is a nice bonus, pun intended.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

The salary is competitive .

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

Better Salary. and better bonuses and increase

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

Honestly, one factor is the cost of living in this city. As expenses have increased, my current compensation doesn’t feel as aligned with the market or my financial needs. At the same time, I also want my compensation to reflect the contribu

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

The pay is way, WAY lower than the other companies in the area. Raises barely keep up with inflation. This is a top concern in every survey we take and nothing is done. Leadership says salaries are based on where we're located, but I'm paid over 30% lower than the average in my area for my position.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

I feel undervalued when delivery and measurable impact are outweighed by optics or politics. I’d value clearer alignment between outcomes, accountability, leadership effectiveness, and market-based compensation that rewards execution and sustain

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

increase in salary and have perks at least

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 10 days ago

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

They're intelligent, reliable and helpful

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

communication is key, and collaboration

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

Challenge each other, care about each other as people, get along

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Diversity, respect for coworkers, expertise. Good leadership.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Always willing to help each other

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Technical Lead working better with team that lead is leading and treating as a peer versus a resource and allowing team to contribute to direction, etc., via discussions with lead to bring to the discussions w/ others outside the team. Seems more of a top down push than a collaboration.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 5 days ago

Some lack accountability, some lack initiative and some are just not suited to build modern solutions. coworkers with deeper experience would be better

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 11 days ago

They don't know English. LexisNexis hires too many contractors who don't know the English language well enough to be productive with other employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

We've lost a lot of quality engineers and we aren't hiring the same quality now.

Review from Engineering Dept

Used to be really good, but attrition due to leadership changes created an influx of inferior talent. CounselLink especially has been hit really hard.

Review from Engineering Dept

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

It provides meaningful and interesting work

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

The People and the collaboration

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 8 days ago

Very supportive that employees succeed and have what we need to do so

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

The company has a supportive and collaborative culture where people are willing to help each other. The environment feels professional, respectful, and focused on doing good work.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Healthy work life balance .

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

More collaboration. Feels that only a chosen few are actually listened to and remaining are treated like contractors or resources and not contributors.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 5 days ago

We have shifted away from work-life balance, especially with the rise of AI. People are being "unofficially" encouraged to spend more of their off time doing work with AI to get ahead, sometimes being told that "the best engineers spend their nights working"

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 12 days ago

our engineering practices are stuck in the 2000's and despite the SLT saying they want to move fast (and safe) there seems little appetite for this at the lower management or developer level the development culture here is "fear of change" rather than wanting to embrace new techniques / approaches

Review from Engineering Dept

Better pay and salary that is competitive with the rest of the industry.

Review from Engineering Dept

Executive Communication from LNNAUK is poor. Goals are unclear, contradicted, and no opportunity is provided to gain clarity. This is obviously untenable and needs to be resolved. Clear guidance from the global organization is sometimes directly contradicted by LNNAUK executives.

Review from Engineering Dept

doing the project I like, meeting my friendly co-workers.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 9 days ago

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Feeling more as a contributor versus someone on the sidelines as merely a resource.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 5 days ago

Top-down decisions are being made without enough input from teams, leading to disruption and low morale. This can be improved by listening first, involving teams in decisions, and communicating changes more clearly and transparently.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 11 days ago

Our area has lost a bit of its agency & trust due to failures from previous employees. We are judged through the same lense & operate at the same pace. I'm surprised at how many employees are being let go in the past few months while leadership does not recognise their part in their failure.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 11 days ago

there seems to be a lot of churn and change without good solid direction in a lot of spaces so you end up doing a lot of hurry up and change direction which is stressful and exhausting.

Review from Engineering Dept · Posted 12 days ago

I do not enjoy the requirement to come to the office
