Destination Pet: It was very good. I was excited to cole to work everyday, but now its horrible having to be cordial to the people that talk badly behind your back and think you do jot know about it. Espcially latoia doing it. No general manager should be talking badly of others to other employees.

The CEO does not listen to management at locations. They deal with this stuff daily and knows what we need (for the most part).

First Merchants: This company needs to get their technology together. It is an embarrassment in front of our clients what we have to go through to accomplish a simple task. Enough with all the paper documents that we have to print and sign each day. Trust your employees or simply don't hire them to begin with.

First Merchants: Friendly colleagues, with strong work ethics, honest, and helpful. This creates a positive work culture.
First Merchants: There is next to no pay gap between tellers and platform staff. Meaning platform staff is expected to do more than double the amount of work for pennies more. In today's environment, FMB rate of pay for all retail staff is not enough to cover the cost of living.

Proofpoint: There are a lot of places that pay "minimums" which results in people living paycheck to paycheck. That's not Proofpoint (unless you are just bad at managing money).

First Merchants: When you are excellent at performing your role it goes unnoticed because that is the status quo for you. There is no inspection from leadership on people performing well. Ask yourself if you were to leave today would the company feel it? My answer is yes, and it is totally oblivious to leadership.

Destination Pet: It is not at all what I told it would be. There were far more issues within my facility when I started and my mentor was only at my facility two days. I was left to figure it out or sent emails with links. The NHE was mission focused, but our daily work and messages from the executive team aren't.
First Merchants: We are suffering growing pains of becoming a larger bank. It's more difficult to do my job today than it was 3 to 5 years ago and that is extremely frustrating. Our focus should be on offering competitive products and being an outstanding service provider. We are not there.
First Merchants: Entry level credit is not the place to be. Things snowball and roll downhill to you and then it's your job to pick up the pieces. There's little to no respect and very limited accountability.
First Merchants: I feel like the banking center staff and back-end support staff should be paid better/more. Without either of them, the bank wouldn't exist. They also are undervalued for everything they do and 'put up with.'
First Merchants: Ive been bullied and discriminated against. My manager tries so hard to set me up to fail. My manager spreads rumors aboute me. I wish everyday that I would wake up from this nightmare.

First Merchants: Merging into the First Merchants system was good as many employees assisted in understanding the new process.
First Merchants: Almost daily frustration with bureaucratic red tape and others unwillingness to improve upon legacy policy and procedures. I guess if that's the way we've always done it we should just keep banging our heads against a wall with manual processes.
First Merchants: I enjoy working at FMB, but do not feel I get looked at when apply for a different position within FMB
Proofpoint: Even a "bad day" at Proofpoint is better than the best day at other companies. Culture and leadership make this an amazing place to work.
First Merchants: I was mislead on incentive pay when I came to the company by the recruiting team. The hours have been a constant cut hours and not the 40 i was quoted when I accepted the job. The leadership was all about mentoring and bringing people along and its mainly felt like it is mainly a dump my crap work

I would like to have options to pay for a plan with a low deductible. I don't feel the executive team understands how hard it is to meet the high deductible for the average worker

Destination Pet: When we were first acquired by DP almost two years ago it was a terrible experience. We had no support at Gingr launch day. We were told that they would be hands-off with our current procedures. DP now micromanages the schedule down to the minute and has required us to change so much.
One Call Care Management: It is stressful. You can try to explain things are affecting you and management does not care.
Destination Pet: My manager and team are the reason I stay. I feel like I have grown a lot and taken on new challenges including to help new policies and procedures to ensure we are setup with scalable strategies, but I have not been compensated or promoted for it.

GenesisCare: You work extremely long hours, with no pay. You can never plan your weekends, because something last minute will come up. If you are on a temp Visa, they will promise you a permanent visa, only if you perform above and beyond.

Destination Pet: Lots of layoff and closing locations in one year. Not sure if our location is next. Upper management tells employees last minute and doesn't give there customers enough time to get records. Then makes other locations get yelled at by clients due to closure and not helping make it easier.
