I have loved working for Accenture, until recently - there have been a lot of change where the company prioritizes Profit over People, and that can be seen in their new pay structure, new bonus payouts, and increases in overall benefit costs to the employees.
What makes you most happy at work?
It used to be the projects and my team; however, the internal politics and changes in culture have shifted my enjoyment of work.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Put people who do the work first, focus on us and show us that you value them. We are now seen as numbers and replaceable.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Pay should be based on performance and contribution, the new 'market competitiveness' and 'pay equity' that Accenture is adopting is great for PR, but in reality saves them a lot of money by paying people less for great work, to ensure equity.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people at Accenture have always been why I stayed. I love my teams, but management and culture has shifted over the past 1.5 years, and not in a good way, and that's starting to bleed into the people at Accenture, with frustration and undervalued being a regular conversation.
