Communication with individuals is horrific. The majority of large scale choices come as surprises to everyone except the ELT. Pay is not to market standard. Expectations are high, resources are low.

The leadership team needs to stop removing benefits from longstanding employees. They also need to stop putting benefits into job postings if they do not intend to keep those benefits.

Don't push out Time Entry software without proper testing. The bonus system doesn't incentivise working efficiently on projects and discourages training new members as it doesn't go toward our project hours.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Market rate pay would be a start. We used to have pretty decent perks, those are all gone. Now we are underpaid with no special perks and standard benefits. Job security with public sector work is the only "perk" but that exists in other jobs as well.

Repeated requests by myself and my manager for a pay increase have been met with little feedback. Canadian employees in general are not paid what we should be. Clearer messaging needs to be communicated to employees so we understand what we can do to get the pay we deserve, with fair pay bands.

Compensations are pretty low. Also the compensation for an long time existing employee doesn't match with the new hire for the same role. I worked very hard for the past couple of years managing everything on our product, but no recognition compensation wise.Promotions doesn't have much pay increase

Goals are extremely vague. Leadership doesn't take ownership for failure caused by poor planning.

Engineers should not do ANY work before a specification document has been approved. So much work is wasted when we start before this. There should also be a singular location for team specific, high quality trainings for new people.
