Was a good fun learning experience so far but not sure what lies ahead. Future seems more uncertain than exciting hence the exodus of a lot of talent in the recent past which the company doesn't seem to care much about.
Less variable pay and more fixed
Open culture and friendly atmosphere. Trust in people
Communicate clearly and frequently, appear to care about employees
Medical insurance, specially for parents
Smart and willingness to assist
Constant change in the company's focus/direction. Lack of investments in viable products due to unknown or irrational reasons. Inorganic growth
Experts, approachable/available, willingness to help and work towards a common goal to achieve excellence. Applicable for most but not all
A lot of old timers who've been loyal to the company aren't compensated adequately for their efforts. The comp outside has grown substantially and jobs are aplenty. This should be corrected asap both from an equity perspective and to arrest attrition
Even though most folks are committed to achieving greatness, some bad apples are leaving a bad taste. Forget about excellence they aren't even doing the bare minimum expected from them. Perhaps they're overburdened with work or have some other issues but that's no justification to not do your job.
