I love it here. It has its faults, but they're pretty common large-company faults, and they're pretty mild compared to what I hear from people that work elsewhere. I've been here 18 years, and I've enjoyed pretty much all of them.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I like the health care and life insurance package, and I like that I get regular raises.
What makes you most happy at work?
Programming, and collaborating with other motivated and intelligent people. And I get to do a lot of both.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Vague question. How about "on a scale from "very cooperative" to "very competitive", how would you rate the culture at your company?
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is pretty high-functioning. Not a lot of infighting. And a good mix of veteran and newbie. Part of that is the leadership, I have no doubt.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I don't encounter them much, aside from the three or four levels directly above me. So this is not easy to answer. Specific questions are better. They don't seem to waste a lot of money. I don't have a ton of mind-numbing, overhead-y things to do (some, but less than other jobs I've had
