On a scale of 1-10, 6.8. The teams I have worked on have been fantastic but I don't attribute that to ESRI but to the people on those teams. Corporate undervalues a lot of positions which is why you will typically hear that ESRI is below market pay, even when taking in to consideration benefits.
What makes you most happy at work?
My team and the technical work I get to do.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Friendly, supportive, knowledgeable, approachable, fun, caring, considerate, respectful on and on.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I would say almost all of our work generally is for the greater good. We are overwhelmingly making strides to leave the world a better place than we found it.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When comparing level to level between PE and SD, they pay difference is significantly different. 5+ years of commitment and above average work is worth less than a new grad moving into an entry level SD role. ESRI literally values everything I've done less than a new grad moving into a SD1 position.
