HEB has so many benefits, even on the part time level. Stocks accumulate very rapidly once you've gotten one. They have discounted events, tickets, hotels, etc. for partners (just first come first serve). Not to mention 25% discounts on HEB products on and around holidays.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I have been with HEB for 4 years now and I have more experience than most other cashiers but my hourly pay does not show that. My team just knows how to work with each other. If there has been an issues in one part of the department, meetings will take place to help resolve the issues and present solutions. This does vary depending on your manager. If they care, you'll know. You'll be in good hands with a manager who cares.

They base the management/operations interviews based off of behavioral questions. There is a big difference between a candidate talking about being able to do the job than actually being able to do they job. They miss out on A LOT of great candidates due to interviewers not liking the response.

New department manager. Fair PAs. Transfers not being denied. Communication. Ability to move up in company. Training. Open door policy. Issue resolutions. No huddles are being held. Close open shifts. No manager ever closing or working lady 3pm or on sundays.
