I'm taking early retirement next week in order to focus on other life interests, but can genuinely say that RELX has been the best private company I've worked for throughout my career with respect to colleagues, opportunities and overall work culture.

I've met colleagues from all nationalities and learnt a lot as a result.

Relatively flat and approachable hierarchy and the MD genuinely cares about diversity and inclusivity.

They don't micro manage, rather they brief me and let me get on with the solution

They're the most talented software engineers I've ever worked with. Their collaboration is fantastic to behold

They are approachable and invested in RSGs D&I initiatives. They also have a clear plan to return EG to profitability.

It values diversity and it's increasingly being reflected in the workforce (but not so much as you go up the ladder)
What are some of the best things about your team?
Not only knowledgeable, but happy to share their knowledge and collaborate with other colleagues - no-one in ivory towers. Genuinely innovative with a view to continuous improvement.
What makes you most happy at work?
Delivering high quality products that meet the needs of our customer base, and doing it in a fair, equitable and inclusive way compared to our more voracious and litigious competitor.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm lucky enough to have been able to join the REPS scheme when I started and benefit from 29 days a year leave. This was the prime factor in joining the company, to manage childcare while children were still going through school.
