I am LN because of an acquisition. I don't think I would have come over to LN on my own. I stay because it is a good enough, stable job, but I would leave for a smaller local(-ish) company if the opportunity presents itself.

Leadership needs to listen to their employees and be accepting of change.

Better, more competitive salaries, and benefits. Better merit increases for employees that actually stay.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
RELX/Risk benefits are horrible if you live in California. The pay is mediocre at best.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The amount of bureaucracy/red tape to implement/make changes is ridiculous, and the politics are horrible.

Better benefits. Better 401K match. Better PTO plan. Better bonus plan. Better medical benefits in California.

I like that the leadership is transparent and takes economic trends into account particularly around employee management.

We are such a diverse group. Everyone is accepting of everyone. It's a great place to be.

Making decisions that make sense. Be open to change and encourage different ways of thinking. Advocate for employees.

My direct reports collaborate well with each other, we have a great team. My Manager's Team, hardly responds to anything...
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The office that I report in to is awesome. I just wish more people would come in to the office.
What makes you most happy at work?
My Team make me happy. I love what I do, I just wish I had more flexibility to do what I do!
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Less talk more action. Everyone is afraid to do anything. People are afraid of change, and not willing to explore new ways of doing things.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture in my office is great...if only we could get more people to come to the office. The company as a whole is inclusive and diverse, no issues there.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Too much red tape, too many hoops and hurdles to get thru to get anything done. People are afraid of making decisions and then acting on them. Nothing ever gets done!!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The benefits package is subpar. Medical benefits costs are astounding. I am no better off than if I just went out to the Marketplace and paid for my own insurance. All other benefits need to be updated, for example, unlimited PTO vs. PTO.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
There isn't much to like about the Leadership team. They want one thing but they do another. Sadly, there is no support from the Leadership team to implement change. Nothing ever changes, and there are way too many people in this company for its own good.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I love my team, and I love what I do, but what doesn't excite me is the bureaucracy we have to deal with day in and day out. There is never an easy way to get anything done. Many...many people at LN are afraid of change, and they aren't willing to listen let alone try to do things differently.
