In my experience, most front-line managers are supportive and eager to help resolve issues, remove obstacles, support escalations if ever needed, etc.
Leadership seems to be keeping us competitive in the market under challenging conditions -- and also seems to have avoided substantial layoffs to this point.
I am happy when I am able to provide a client what they seek, help resolve a given problem they are having, or ideate and present an effective solution (or angle) that others might not have developed.
Co-workers in my group - as well as some of the key groups with whom we interact -- are highly collaborative and willing to help when needed. They are quick to offer ideas, suggestions, assistance, insights from their experiences, etc. And I strive to do the same.
There is a fair amount of evidence that my base pay, and that of others in my group, is substantially less than wages at several of our direct competitors & peer companies. I understand and appreciate that efforts have been made to close the gap, but it still exists.
