I love how accessible they are and how they manage their teams. My manager, in particular, is very proactive in ensuring that each team member has the tools and the knowledge to get their job done. He is, by far, the best manager I have ever worked with.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The half day Fridays are great for those of us that like to get out of town on the weekends. Paid breakfast and lunch keeps food costs down and healthy options available everyday.

While we don't make a large salary compared to others in the tech space, our benefits make up for the lack. Free medical coverage, 2 catered meals, plus 2 snacks during the day, make up for a large sum of money that we would otherwise be spending on these things.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There is a culture of non-negotiation, and raises are very difficult for managers to get approved. Compared to other companies in similarly high cost of living areas, ONTRAPORT is about 25% under market.

My team is unstoppable. We have a value around researching what is needed and finding solutions rather than throwing our hands in the air. Sometimes just reframing the paint point we're trying to solve gets us to a novel solution.

Goal and value oriented. I also love the grounds where the company is and it contributes to a nice feeling you get while here!

I'm on the interviewer side. We do a good job with phone screenings and our careers page is quite impressive. Also, interviewers must answer multiple long form questions about each candidate right after the interview.

I've been here for a long time, so I know that the process has changed a lot. I was out of state when I interviewed, so it was completely done over Skype, which made it extremely convenient for me.

When there is a big hairy project that no one wants to take on and I volunteer for it. It dive super deep, get lost in the details, and rebuild it. It's a great way to do deep knowledge work.
