It was fantastic before the merger. Now I feel more like a number rather than a person
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Aperture was amazing. I was fulfilled and learning and expanding my knowledge across various avenues. I was always happy and willing to help different departments as they were for me. Since the merge with Verisys, it gets worse every year.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some of the best things are: tight-knit, personable
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My direct manager is personable
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
it is some-what family oriented
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Less coldness, more warmth when it comes to our clients. More accountability.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Not only do I feel undervalued, I feel taken advantage of. Verisys treats us employees like machines rather than humans.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The merge should have adopted Aperture's culture rather than Verisys'. Verisys is cold and robotic. Aperture valued their employees and clients.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Unfortunately, I can't think of anything. I could say great things about Aperture for hours; Verisys on the other hand is a different story.
What makes you most happy at work?
a day without back-to-back meetings because that means i actually have time to do my specific work without having to work at night to stay caught up.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Ability to work from home is the most positive, I suppose. I'd rather be miserable in the comfort of my own home rather than a cold office. The culture is dark and gloomy since the Verisys merge.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel undervalued because my worth is not measured appropriately. The saying "if you do your job well enough, you will be expected to do other jobs as well for the same compensation." I do not get paid what I am worth and I invest more time and effort than I am being compensated for.
