It's been a long time since I've enjoyed working somewhere the way I do at Verisys. There are definitely things that could improve but we are treated well and we're growing so that means opportunities to learn and advance come around often.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone spends time talking to each other during downtime, so we know each other and enjoy spending time learning together and sharing knowledge.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone talks to everyone. I have met and commonly interact with people from every department (and different levels of employment) and I've only been here for two months.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leaders are always around and talking with everyone. It's nice to work in an environment where the executives spend real time talking with employees at all levels of the company, including brand new entry level employees.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The pay is good for the work I do, which means higher positions should have even better pay and that is encouraging. I like that the company covers most of the deductible cost via HRA but a family insurance plan is quite expensive premium-wise.
What makes you most happy at work?
The freedom. We have a job to do and everyone is doing their part to contribute, but it's also okay if you need to walk away from your desk for a break, or to take a phone call. Work schedules are also incredibly flexible even on the customer service team that needs specific time coverage.
