Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We are underpaid and overworked. The company's cost-cutting has us doing the work of three people. Morale within the company is in decline. People are afraid of losing their jobs if they speak out or complain about working conditions. The company has an army of in-house temps ready to fill-in.

Benefits are fantastic. Manager is inconsistent about goals and requirements for advancement. Less about money than title and recognition. The man is incompetent and vindictive.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone here loves working with classic movies and has pride in delivering a unique and cherished product despite constant calls to increase already unrealistic profit margins.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Managers need to understand that a team can only function effectively when leadership reinforces the positive and keeps the team energized. They should be a buffer and shield the team from the executive micromanaging. If your bosses dump on you, you shouldn't treat your subordinates to the same.

When I was hired everyone was excited, hopeful and nice. However, that was before the merger with Time Warner, long before anyone considered merging with AOL and of course the inevitable falling stock price.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
You never know what you are walking into, the corporate overlords at AT&T decide your department in inefficient or redundant and it needs to be excised. The company's stock price is tanking or the company is reimagining its employee benefits. All signs it's probably time to abandon ship.
