There is transparency in terms of communication. Every on knows what is expected out of them and their teams which makes it easy to focus and prfioritize work

From who I have met so far, the leadership team has positioned themselves to act as a mentors to their employees. It sounds like managers genuinely try to establish trust with their staff and encourage them to work autonomously.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I did not make any statements about being undervalued. Like many, I look at the hours I'm working, what I'm producing and believe I should be paid market value.

For the tech industry I am underpaid and make less here than I made at my previous company. I have unique skills that make me more valuable that I feel are not factored into my compensation. 401k vesting also makes me feel un-trusted by the company. As it stands, I barely make enough to get by.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Being underpaid means I spend time worrying about money. I feel bad when I see others who have worked here longer buy houses and generally have more money, whereas I am living paycheck to paycheck sometimes. Also, culture needs to be action not just words, so take action on culture faster.
