My direct leadership is incredible. There is 100% transparency. Executive leadership is open and drives where I think the company should be going. Upper middle management remains a mystery to me.

My direct managers and executive staff are incredibly approachable. There are some bottlenecks in between those groups, but otherwise, I still feel like I could reach out to leadership directly as need be

Being properly compensated. Being below industry average isn't acceptable anymore. There's a reason turnover is high and we cannot retain top dev talent. As much as I hate it, dollars are what keep people, not snacks.

When team members have expressed discomfort and were looking at other opportunities, I've heard middle management's response be the exact opposite of trying to retain the employee and letting them walk. Was not thrilled to witness that first hand.
