Department supervisors add stress, drama, and create a hostile atmosphere. Develop these people to be leaders, teach them to build relationships based on trust and to use positive motivation tactics. Encourage them to empower employees to make the shopping experience great.

The company has forgotten that our niche in the market was customer service. Low prices are nice, but they come at a cost. Don’t lose your high-end clientele by trying to add low-income to your list. Let Wal-mart be wal-mart and you try to be Kroger instead.

The competition is hiring at a higher wage-rate than the wage cap at Kroger. You ask for world-class customer service, give us pay that offers us incentive and motivation. Make the pay good enough that people wish for a job here, and we’d stay longer. Take care of us and we will take care of you.
