Meltwater: lower salary than market rate but good work-life balance (depending on the job). Decent culture but sometimes the "young culture" is a bad thing.

First Merchants: I have conflicting feelings about this. For the most part it has been wonderful, but it seems like the company is thinking about the community less and making it harder for employees to hit goals to get incentives. It did not used to be this way.

We are not given enough incentives to boost moral, especially for middle management. Training is lacking, and moral is huge impact to day to day work.

First Merchants: I have had a decent experience here, but once I was here for a while, I felt grounded and swept under the rug.
First Merchants: Up the ladder, the goals of my department seem to not align with what the company values (or my own) which is very confusing and frustrating. My motivation is depleating, asked for more and more for less, under appreciated/underpaid for my expertise, I dont feel valued or trusted.
First Merchants: Overall experience has been good. At times it seems as though there is more work than hours available in the day and I find myself working later than I would like

First Merchants: I just feel over the last 5 years that FMB has changed in the way that if you are in a banking center you are a SALESMAN and it's not about truly helping the clients, only about hitting goals and making upper management look good. I don't feel I am paid fairly at all for the amount of work I do.
Syntax: There is always something new to tackle and solve. It is a great day when you can solve a customer's challenge beyond their expectations.
First Merchants: My experience has had its ups and downs. The most frustrating part is that you have a lot of skilled employees (and some not so much) and they are being stifled due to some restrictions put in place by the Executive team.
