HealthStream is a company with great vision where employees feel welcome to share ideas and try out those ideas. If that culture makes it through the original company, I would say it's the best place I've worked.
HealthStream: generally positive, i like the people and my colleagues, the one big room for improvement is investing more in our support/operational channels. we have increased our sales team by 3 fold in the last 8 years, there's no reason 1 OPS specialist should support over 400 accounts.

HealthStream: It depends. Day to day can be very good or even fulfilling.
HealthStream: I started on the front lines and have become a client advocate and developed expertise in the product. The work we do gives me a lot of pride.
HealthStream: I work with some amazing people. and I also work with some lacking in work ethic. These few that lack this bring down the team, and instead of addressing it, the leaders/executives choose to keep status quo.
HealthStream: HealthStream is excellent about tackling new ideas, driving innovation, and delivering solutions for customers. However, short-term objectives and 'urgent' items always win over finishing current work resulting in squeaky-wheel prioritization, future fires, and challenges with stability/maintenance.
HealthStream: The HR team seems out of touch with how things are done at other companies. They say that they pay competitively with industry standard, but that is not my experience. The leadership team seems pretty good, but I need more time to make a fair assessment.
HealthStream: I have grown a lot, learning every day by doing and trying new things. Failing and improving is welcome. I have learned how to be an excellent software developer.

While they can improve in some areas, overall, I would rate them an above average employer. It would take a lot for me to voluntarily leave HealthStream.

HealthStream: There have been ups and downs. Most recently, their has been drastic improvements to goals, vision, and culture that have truly transformed this place. The early days we difficult because we were a growing company but now that we have found our foothold, I see only greatness in the future.
HealthStream: It has been good except for the difficulty with getting promoted. I feel like it was said it would be easier than it is and no clear expectations going forward.
HealthStream: I'm thankful for my job! The company is very fast-paced. Often, we start down one path and then abandon it for a completely different one. While I like the challenge, I often wish we were given more access to training. There's a competitive vibe that keeps some people from sharing their knowledge.
HealthStream: Base salary is extremely low, with the addition to cutting % paid on deals and a forever rising quota that is raised each year without reasoning of logic behind it.

HealthStream: I'm a relatively new employee, but this is the best job I've ever had. It's meaningful work and requires continuous learning and improvement to excel in your role.

HealthStream: Good. The CEO very clearly sees himself as a leader of people and not just the manager of a company, and has made a lot of decisions that are bad for short term profits but good for employees.
HealthStream: I appreciate the steps our company has made in this national crisis. I enjoy helping our customers and being able to use my acquired knowledge to do that. My coworkers are the best people in the world. The work can be overwhelming at times, but my team has my back as I have theirs.
HealthStream: It is very similar to many larger organizations. A lot of people working hard to do the best with what resources they have. Leadership appears to take thought and consideration when approaching a problem and backs up their decisions with specific data.
