Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

The first couple years here were good. Since promoting, every year gets worse. No one above me knows where this company is heading, and it's scary. I've survived three RIFs at this point, but I don't know I'll make it out of another. It's sad because we used to be an awesome company.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I've been at Verisys for quite some time now and have seen the company go through many changes: three big layoffs, a company buyout, a shift to a "technology" company where our apps never work, etc. It's been an exhausting and unpredictable ride that offers very little job security or satisfaction.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The pre-loaded insurance card is great.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

More transparency, an executive team and CEO who cares and doesn’t just throw hollow positivity around. A

What makes you most happy at work?

I love the constant challenge. The verification field is always changing, so our profession requires adaptation and critical thought.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The leadership keeps an open-door policy. If I ever have an issue, I'm comfortable discussing that issue with a supervisor.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Flexibility in schedules. If something comes up, our department has been great in allowing split schedules or make up dates.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The company culture is terrible. The executive team doesn’t care about employees and doesn’t make the effort to understand the wo

What are some of the best things about your team?

The culture at Verisys is amazing! Coworkers are like family, asking about how I'm doing and how things are going at work.

What are some of the best things about your team?

To clarify, I look forward to working with some of my coworkers. There are a few that make interaction miserable, and they are unfortunately on the HR and Executive team.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Over the last year, Aperture and Verisys combined into one company. At that juncture, legacy Verisys employees received worse benefits than before: higher prescription costs, no pre-paid flex card, limited provider pool, etc.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The best part of our compensation package is PTO. Health benefits have gotten noticeably worse since Aperture took over the company. We have higher deductibles, higher prescription costs, more restrictions on providers, etc.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Raise base pay, have an understanding of the processes and time frames needed to complete work, transparency (not to be conflated with odd emails from the CEO), stop spouting platitudes when we know nothing will change.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

It's really not our coworkers that need to improve. Most of us were thrown into this position without much guidance or direction. We need a manager who organizes the team and sets us up for successful collaboration.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Despite a lack of leadership from higher-ups in the company, everyone on the floor level tries to their best to help and clarify. Directors, team leads, quality, and fellow processors work hard and will support you in any way they can.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Communication; support; consistency with answers rather than going back and forth; knowing what they want before they go live with any new announcements; actually investing in employees (improving benefits, paying a living a wage, fully realized training that leaves workers feeling supported).

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Our company says two of our biggest goals are employee satisfaction and retention. However, the average pay is not a livable wage, benefits are worse than they use to be, communication is non-existent unless it's something you're doing wrong, among other things.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Communication is awful. Leaders above my direct manager switch gears at last minute frequently and can't seem to stick to one direction. This creates a trickle-down effect of chaos and confusion, which is often why we're in such a bad spot with clients.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Honestly, I don't know how to answer this. Face value, the exec team and HR say they have an open-door policy, but I've found most of my concerns are dismissed or never really go anywhere. Social hour is fun, I guess. Getting a quick break from work a couple times a week is good.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Communication, direction, and pay. These are all values lacking at Verisys. My current position had little training, and I felt thrown to the wolves at the time. Not much has changed since then. While I'm paid fairly, I know we have extremely low starting wages. Most can make more at In-N-Out.
