Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Make FedEx ground drivers part of the company so they can actually have benefits. Working for "subcontractors " makes us feel under valued as workers. Freight and express drivers are FedEx employees yet ground are subcontractor whom get no benifits!!
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Leadership cares about getting packages on trucks. After that they do not care! If package is damaged they get it on the truck so that they can blame delivery drive for damage. Drivers get fined for complaints and damage even if they are not responsible.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Drivers a paid a daily salary. If they work normally 10hrs and get a large day pushing them to the max limit or 14hrs one day it still pays the same. FedEx gets more $ for extra, contractor gets more $ for extra deliveries, drive (whom does the work) gets exactly same pay as lower hours
