Understand that Ford is a car manufacturer no a mobility company. They are losing focus on producing car thinking they can be a tech company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The Canadian compensation for salaried for the equivalent work is much less than in the US. Should be equal in every pay grade.

For the size and prestige of the company, people would expect to have higher salaries. There are smaller companies offering 10 - 15 % higher compensations.

The compensation is not compatible with other OEM (Salary grade at Ford stop at GSR 8 and after that it will be so hard to move to the next level. that will make the salary promotion very low with a average of 2% increase every year.

working hard as well as others and not complaining. politics plays a role to advance position. Excuse is different department took all senior Engineering positions/ Outstanding performance and our department lost it for more than 7 years. inflation is too high compared to merit increase.

Our team supports one-another at work, and enjoy one-another's company outside of work to - meals, etc - and we help one-another on our Battery Electric Vehicle programs. We share lessons learned, knowledge, happy to teach new tools (Hardware & Software), joke around, ask + answer questions, etc.

Ford has an amazing culture. We care for one-another; not just about colleagues & suppliers. We have 11 ERGs: Ford Interfaith Network (FIN), Women of Ford (WoF), etc. And there are 45 Clubs in FERA to join. Ford Volunteer Corps provides 16 hrs. to volunteer for community service with non-profits.

Create a culture based on trust, honesty, people centricity, find ways to move your leadership from "C" to "A" and things should get better.

All groups need to be held to the same deliverable standards. One group cannot take its time into making decisions that causing program timing to suffer, only to pass it on to the next commodity owner/group who has to deal with red deliverables that they did not cause.

First the office is old, it does not incentive the home office. They do not shuttle buses to the stations to make the employee leave their cars at home, I asked for this 2 times.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Too much bureaucracy. too many non value added checklists, slow salary increase. Programs seem to be run by FCG's and not people with experience. Programs lack focus and direction. They dont know what they want nor understand the design and release process. All teams should be on the same page.
