What makes you most happy at work?

Closing my laptop and focussing on my personal life, especially when I can do so before 8 pm.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Individuals and the longstanding relationships we have - not the overall culture - are what helps me survive the day.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Give candidates a legitimate chance -- stop posting a position and going through the motions of interviewing only to avoid lawsuits when you install the predetermined candidate.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Respect. Respect the employees, the products and the customers. Shareholders and share value are important, but not at the cost of disrespecting the hardworking people who generate real value.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Technical skills of co-workers are wonderful, but the overall morale of the organisation is horrid. Remove the fear of being PIPed, discourage the boastful/gaslighting behaviours, and recognise the TRUE value of ALL employees.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Between steadily eroding Benefits, steady increases in employee-paid portion for said Benefits, and the tradition of increasing most salaries by 3% (and in many cases MUCH LESS) employees are actually earning LESS - when measured in buying power - every single year for the past eight or ten years.
